When we discovered Tavistock’s collection, we were blown away — it was exactly what we had envisioned.
What was the biggest challenge with your old bathroom?
"The biggest challenge with our old bathroom was that the house had been sitting empty for two years, and the space was completely run down. It was dirty, unusable, and needed to be fully ripped out before we could even think about moving in.
Not having a working toilet, shower, or bath made those early renovation weeks incredibly tough - you don’t realise how essential a functional bathroom is until you’re trying to renovate without one."
"We spent a lot of time researching Edwardian-style bathrooms and looking for details that would complement the period features already in the house. We’ve always leaned towards classic interiors over ultra-modern design, so our goal was to create a space that felt true to the era but still timeless enough to live with for years to come."
How did you decide on the style of the renovation?
"We knew from the start that we wanted to honour the character of the house. It’s a beautiful Edwardian home, so keeping the renovation traditional and timeless felt really important to us."
What feature makes the biggest difference in your new bathroom?
"The feature that makes the biggest difference in our new bathroom is definitely the freestanding bath. With such a generously sized space, we always knew we wanted a separate bath and shower, and it was Georgie’s absolute dream to have a traditional freestanding tub on feet.
When we discovered Tavistock’s collection, we were blown away — it was exactly what we had envisioned. The brushed brass finishes elevate the entire suite, adding a touch of elegance and luxury. The whole room is beautiful, but the bath is the true showstopper. It’s the feature everyone comments on the moment they walk in."
